recombinant conditionally replication-competent oncolytic adenovirus type 5 (Ad5) encoding human immune modulatory protein OX40 ligand (OX40L, CD252, tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 4) under control of the cytomegalovirus (CMV) immediate-early promoter-enhancer and terminated with the bovine growth hormone (bGH) polyadenylation sequence. The OX40L sequence along with the CMV immediate-early promoter and bGH polyadenylation signal is inserted into the Ad5 E3 region, displacing approximately 2.69 kb of the E3 region. Genetic modification also includes a 24 bp deletion in the E1A gene and a 27 bp insertion into the fiber gene which introduces an RGD (Arg-Gly-Asp) motif.
