Genetic modifications of the viral genome also include the insertion of four E2F-responsive sites along with one extra Sp-1 transcription factor binding site to control expression of the viral early region 1A (E1A) gene, a 24 base pair deletion in the E1A gene, and the replacement of the KKTK domain of the fiber shaft with an integrin-binding, tumour-selective RGDK motif
